Burial in St Mary's Churchyard

St Mary's churchyard is over 700 years old, and remains open today. Everyone who has been living or who has died in the parish has the right to be buried there or have their ashes interred.

Churchyards are governed by legal regulations which state what can and cannot be done in them. These regulations, for example, govern the type of headstones which are allowed.

If you would like to know more about burial in St Mary's Churchyard and the regulations which govern it, please read this leaflet (requires Adobe Reader; available here), produced by the Diocese of Oxford.
